A כהן is forbidden to come into contact with a dead body, as that would render him טמא. A כהן is on a higher level than an ordinary Jew and must live up to a higher standard.

There is a lesson in this for us. Jews are on a higher spiritual plane than the rest of the world. We place a higher value on life and must strive to act as responsibly as possible. As such, it is incumbent on us to be extra cautious about spreading (or appearing to be spreading) illness such as Covid 19.
